World Metal Detecting Championship announced.

It is with Great Pleasure that we would like to announce the very FIRST World Metal Detecting Championship competition.

This is an ACTIVE competition and will take place in the GYMPIE Region in Queensland Australia.

Below is a Map of the general Area, the exact location will be announced closer to the Event. YES the location has been sourced and secured. This is to protect the site from any early entry attempts.

CAPPED at 1,000 participants this event is sure to sell out fast as only those select few will have the chance to compete for the metal detecting world Championship.

The Event has been capped to allow us to have full use of the facilities provided and to provide plenty of ground for FREE Hunting for both natural targets like gold and also man made items like coins and jewelry.

There will be both seeded and NON seeded ground and everyone that comes along will have the chance to make finds dropped in the past.

a TRASH Competition will also be held so you have the chance to be rewarded for picking up trash targets as well as the good ones that may be lying around.

Momentum is building Fast for this event and announcements will come thick and fast as we add further items to the PROGRAM. Take a look at the Event program for details about what is happening and who might show up as a special guest.

EVERYONE that attends will have the opportunity to WIN a Prize and the Main Prize is set to be worth Just short of $20,000AUD Yep that’s right Just by Attending you have the chance to WIN a prize valued at almost 20K!

It is Aimed to have a TOTAL prize pool of OVER $50,000AUD up for grabs at the Event. This Includes prizes that can be won in the many competitions that will be run over the weekend.

The weekend will culminate in the MAIN Prize draw where the MAIN 20K prize will be drawn. EVERYONE who attends is in with a chance of taking the prize home.

Token Hunts will be held to FIND extra chances in the draw and there will be special tokens buried around the area to also win more entries in the main draw or another fantastic prize.

This Event has been designed to UNITE Gold Detectorists, Coin and Relic Detectorists, Bottle diggers, panners, Sluicers and all types of treasure hunting in ONE HUGE Annual Event.

Trade Stalls from the major brands and Local business will also be present as well as displays from the Historical past and from detectorists themselves.

We will have geologists, YouTube personalities, Facebook Personalities and More. All ready to mingle and socialise all weekend. get to know some of your favorites over a cool drink or and egg and bacon roll.

Be part of the LIVE audience for a an Extra edition of MONDAY NIGHT LIVE with Ben O’Rielly. You’ll have the chance to ask the panel of special guests some questions and watch as Ben Puts the panel under the grill.

YES Its Party Time as well with LIVE Music on Both the Friday and Saturday Nights. hang out till late and catch up with some mates, make some new ones and knock the top off a couple with great live music. You can even get your dancing shoes on and kick up those heels.

Accommodation will be available on site as well as ample room for those that prefer to camp and lets face it who doesn’t? LOL

There is Room for the Biggest campervan and the smallest roof top tent. ALL are welcome whether you choose to set up camp on the grounds or book some of the quality options available to save the hassle.

Access is easy 2 wheel drive and you’ll have no problems getting in and out safely.

Tickets will be available soon and will be $300 Per Adult to attend and have access to the site and all the activities across the Event Including your camping site. There are Childrens ticket prices as well. All Information will be on the ticketing page when launched.

Arrival is from the Friday before the event at 12pm and we ask that you be packed up and on the road by 10am the following Monday.

In that time you have access to Free hunt the grounds for treasure, pan for gold in the Creek and participate in all the lectures, Tutorials, competitions and activities that are provided.

There will be FOOD stalls for those that prefer not to cook and a BYO alcohol policy that will be closely monitored by the Onsite security staff.

This is a Professionally run event with all relevant Insurances and permits and is being organised by a veteran of the Event Scene in Qld.

The Detecting Events are being run by Local clubs, Volunteers and also some paid staff to make sure everything runs smoothly.

As Mentioned there will be On site security to keep everyone safe over the course of the weekend.
