So WHY have a Metal Detecting World Championship?
A question that can simply be answered with a “WHY NOT!”
One thing about Metal detecting is the passion that many detectorists have for their Hobby. They love it and they also love a bit of friendly rivalry on the field and of course on social media.
So we decided to take away the friendly bit and have a full on competition to see who is the best on the day with their chosen wand.
In 2019 It was Trevor with his XP Deus that Vanquished all and won the trophy and the Jacket.
Coincidently Minelab Launched the Vanquish Metal Detector at this Event. See how I tied that In…. LOL
Its a serious competition, but around that we have tried to build a social occasion so once the competition is done, everyone can relax and have a great time.
100 Acres of Detecting with many planted targets adding to the drops from 10 years of music festivals being held on the site. Means there will be plenty of detecting available.
Stalls from the Big players and the Up and coming ones will be set up, so you can see and even try the latest in Metal detecting technology.
So come along, camping is on site with toilets and hot showers as well. You don’t have to do it tough at the MDWC.
