The Metal Detecting World Championship 2022 is ON!!!

The Metal Detecting World Championship is ON!!!

We have had some challenges again this year with the Event but they have been overcome by a swift move and some very accommodating towns folk.

It is with great excitement that we announced the 2022 Metal Detecting World Championship. At Windeyer NSW October 21st to the 23rd.

Windeyer is well known as a gold town in New South Wales and has been producing gold since the mid 1800s.  In the more modern Era. The Windeyer area has been known for producing some of Australia’s best lamb and fine wool.

So in 2022, we have teamed up with the locals to bring you not only the metal detecting World championship, but also the famous lamb fest on the Saturday of competition.

So not only will you be able to walk amongst metal detecting displays, workshops, meet and greet sessions, you’ll also see some of the history of the area and some demonstrations of the local lamb industry at work. How does dog high jumping sound?Personally, I’m looking forward to that one.

We will also have sheep races, shearing displays, a butchering display and many other things associated with the gold and lamb industry in the area, which is quite appropriate as the local hotel is called the gold and fleece.

Speaking of the Gold and Fleece Hotel. That is right across the road from the event and will be a great place to grab a refreshment or a meal and for us to socialise after the day’s events.

Now we have secured the world’s best metal detecting companies as sponsors once again and we will see some big players over the few days.

As we know from the last metal detecting World Championship, these sponsors really do bring their big guns and their best displays and we look forward to seeing the latest innovations talking to tech people and being able to interact with the employees of these major metal detecting innovators.

Now, with the side of the event being so handy to the gold, we will also have a great place to do some gold panning, sluicing in the Creek and hunting those elusive prize tokens on the Windeyer common area.

The accommodation provider for the event will be the bushlands caravan park. It’s right across the road from the main event and right behind the pub. It’s the perfect spot to launch your metal detecting World Championship campaign. Will also have some overflow camping on the showground. And of course, there are many local Airbnb. And glamping options in the area, we suggest booking those early.

The prize pool is being finalised now and thanks to our amazing sponsors, is looking to be as good as and if not exceed, the 2019 prize pool as the details of that become apparent, we will launch the exact details of what can be won at this years 2022 metal Detecting World championship.

The full event programme will be launched closer to the event, but right now what you need to do is grab your ticket to the event because they will be limited this year to just 300 attendees.

SUPER IMPORTANT:

Tickets and accommodation are very Limited, so in Order to make sure you get the right tickets and campsites etc, you’ll need to order your tickets by EMAIL using the form at the link below..
